Hope Haven has recently received a $1,000 grant from the Iowa Lakes Electric Members Charitable Foundation. The grant is part of their "Operation Round Up" program, where funds are voluntarily donated by Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative member-owners and its employees.
The grant funds will go towards an ADA Accessible Golf Cart for Hope Haven's division in Storm Lake, IA - Faith, Hope & Charity (FHC). FHC is licensed as an Intermediate Care Facility for the Intellectually Disabled (ICF/ID) home for children ages 2-21. ICF/ID is a 24 hour a day, total care service, providing housing, meals, activities, nursing, recreation, skill building, community interaction and many other services needed by the children served. The golf cart will provide opportunities for mobility and outdoor exploration around the Storm Lake campus for children of all abilities supported at FHC.
We are thankful to the Iowa Lakes Electric Members Charitable Foundation for their generous support of this project!
