Meet Victoria! She recently received a wheelchair from Hope Haven International Ministries. Hear a little bit about Victoria’s story from Kelly a physical therapist who helped get her wheelchair ready.

“Hello Hope Haven Team! Attached is little Victoria seated in one of your beautiful chairs. My name is Kelly and I was blessed to be her physical therapist on the Wheels for the World Monterrey Mexico trip with Joni and Friends this past spring. Victoria’s mom carried 3 year old Victoria into our outreach with Victoria clinging in fear to remain tucked under mom’s arm. Mom told us she gave her the name Victoria because she knew from the day she was born that God would help her to be victorious! Victoria was born with a rare genetic diease that only 20 people in the world have. Her first try in her Hope Haven chair was with tears and flailing. With some quick estimates on adjustments we let Victoria stay in mom’s arms while we worked. Each subsequent try in the seat was met with obvious increasing comfort. The last try wit her lap tray was the icing on the cake! Now this was no longer a scary wheelchair but became a true playstation as we placed a few toys on her lap tray for her. As you can see Victoria left quite happy in her Hope Haven chair. For her this chair will last a long while due to her tiny stature. Thank you for being such an important part of the chain of people and supplies that God orchestrated to bring a much needed help to Victoria’s mom and comfortable seating to Victoria. God bless you as you continue to work to bring such a useful durable easy-to-adjust chair to those who need it. It is my prayer that Victoria is getting to Sunday school in her new wheels! ‘May your Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.’ Thessalonians 2”
