Mental Health & Recovery

Hope Haven, Inc. provides a variety of Mental Health Services that provide a continuum of care.

Mental Health services are provided in accordance with the needs of the person receiving the services. These services may include:

Intensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation (IPR)

Designed to assist individuals with mental health struggles to obtain or recover successful and satisfying roles in their community

Peer Support Services

Peer support specialists (people who are living well in their own recovery from mental illness) assist adults with mental illness on the journey of recovery by providing support through shared experience.

Intensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation (IPR)

Intensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation (IPR) program is designed to assist individuals with serious mental illness obtain or recover successful and satisfying roles in their community. IPR Practitioners support participants in identifying a goal environment in which they desire to make a change. The goal environments, participants choose from are education, vocation, living, and socialization.

IPR is a systemic change program that uses an evidence-based curriculum to help participants gain the tools, supports, and resources needed to make a lasting change in their selected goal environment. IPR’s focus is to promote recovery, full community integration, and improved quality of life through participation in group and individual sessions.

IPR is a Medicaid funded program administered by the MCO’s of Iowa. Regional funding and private pay options may also be available.

 
PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE SERVICES THROUGH SESSIONS:
  • Group Sessions: Twice a week for 3 – 4 hours. Groups focus on developing and maintaining skills and knowledge related to diagnoses, communication, interpersonal relationships, mindfulness, wellness, and much more.
  • Individual Sessions: Once a week for 1 hour. Individual sessions focus on the participants’ desired change and goal environment through the use of IPR’s evidenced based curriculum.

Office hours Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm or as requested by client.

Peer Support Services

Peer Support Services are designed to support adults with mental illness in their recovery through the use of mentorship. Peer support specialists are people who are living well in their own recovery from mental illness. Peer support specialists use their lived experience to walk alongside the client, providing support, and guidance.

Peer support specialists assist individuals in working on their desired goals. This is done through helping the individual develop coping skills, build support networks, and develop other needed life skills. Peer support specialists also assist the client by linking them with other support services that might be helpful.

Peer support is a Medicaid funded program administered by the MCO’s of Iowa. Regional funding may also be obtained through application. Private pay options are also available.

Peer Support Services are available in Lyon, Sioux, Plymouth, Osceola, O’Brien, Dickinson, Clay, Emmet, and Palo Alto counties in Iowa.

Services can be provided up to 3 hours per month, typically in home and community locations.
