Experience an unforgettable evening at the Hope Haven 13th Annual Dessert Auction Benefit on Tuesday, October 3rd at the Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls, SD!
The Dessert Auction features a social hour, dinner, and the chance to bid on your favorite sweet treats.
Local bakeries and restaurants generously donate a wide variety of desserts, and some exciting new pastry chefs will present their most recent culinary creations. Sponsors and table hosts can invite their friends or business associates to attend the event, support Hope Haven’s worldwide wheelchair ministry, and participate in the auction of desserts and other items.

The dessert auction this year will support international wheelchair distributions. The program will focus on our involvement in Barlad, Romania.
- Since 1996, HHIM has been in operation in Barlad, Romania, located in the NE part of Romania near the border of Moldovia. Pastor Daniel Mereuta serves as the director of Romanian operations. By using the wheelchairs, Daniel and his team are able to share the Gospel with more Romanians and surrounding countries. In addition, they provided assistance to those in need of shelter, food, clothing, medical care, and other necessities.In 2021, HHIM started constructing a new 6,000 square foot ministry center in Barlad. By the fall of 2023, the project should be completed. In addition to the warehouse space, the facility will offer wheelchair users convenient access for physical therapy and wheelchair repairs. The building also includes much-needed office space, a repair shop, a physical therapy room, a seating clinic room, and meeting rooms. The facility and program in Romania highlights the future model for our ministry’s design, which we intend to replicate in other nations.
