Rich joined the Hope Haven staff in May of 2018 and began the position of Manager of Church and Public Relations in October of 2018. He grew up in Northwest Iowa and graduated from Dordt College with a BA degree in Business Administration. His background includes experience in development work for non-profits, as well as being a business owner in the insurance industry for a number of years. Rich has served on church council, school boards, and on the board of directors of Genesis House, which is a local organization that provides transitional housing and other services to women and children in need.

Rich and his wife, Stacy, live in Sioux Center, IA and have two children. They are members of First Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center. In his spare time Rich enjoys photography, cutting firewood, spending time with family and travelling to national parks.
