Planned Giving

 Leave a Legacy™

LEAVE A LEGACY™ is a community-based program to help people learn about charitable giving through a will or from an estate plan. LEAVE A LEGACY™ does NOT solicit gifts for any particular organization. Instead, the program is a cooperative effort of all types of nonprofit groups including social service and arts organizations, churches, hospitals, educational institutions and other philanthropic groups.

Charitable, nonprofit groups play an important role in our lives, extending help in many ways, from giving seniors a hot meal, to linking up children with good role models. Help may also come in the form of fighting a terrible disease, leading a spiritual experience or bringing beauty to your world through the arts.

The truth is that these special organizations need financial assistance from people like you in order to continue their good deeds. More that 70% of Americans contribute to the nonprofit groups of their choice throughout their lifetimes. Only around 6% continue this support though a gift in their will or estate plan. By making these "planned gifts," you can continue to help organizations that are making an important difference in your community. When you LEAVE A LEGACY™, you make sure that help continues to be there for those who need it.

The LEAVE A LEGACY™ program in your area can direct you to resources that will help you fulfill your charitable goals. To locate a LEAVE A LEGACY™ program in your area, click here. Heritage Society
The Hope Haven Heritage Society exists to recognize, during their lifetimes, those individuals whose vision and inclination move them to perpetuate the organization through an estate plan gift. These friends of Hope Haven extend their influence beyond their lifetimes and create a legacy of love for generations to come. They do this through Hope Haven, for promising and deserving individuals.

If you have made specific plans to provide for Hope Haven's future through your estate distribution by one or more of the following ways, we would invite you to join the Hope Haven Heritage Society:

  • A specific provision by Will
  • Assignment of Life Insurance or IRA
  • A Living Trust assigned to Hope Haven
  • Creation of a Chariable Remainder Trust
  • A property gift with life estate reserved
  • Purchase of a Chariable Gift Annuity or Gift Agreement

  • For more information on how you can touch the future, contact Art DeHoogh, Mark Siemonsma or Paul Moos at Hope Haven.

Commodity Gifts Program Offered for Hope Haven

We are pleased to present the attached brochure regarding Commodity Gifts.  It describes a tax-wise method of extending your love and caring to persons served by Hope Haven’s ministries, whose goal is “Unleashing potential in people, by God’s power.”

Commodities, given by a producer (a farmer, etc.) are an increasingly popular gifting option.  The brochure answers common questions and highlights the convenience and simplicity of this procedure.

Hope Haven deeply appreciates and seeks to ever more effectively use the resources provided by its partners-in-ministry.  We hope this information will enable even more generous sharing of the abundant blessings the Lord has provided.

Please contact us if we can be of assistance to you in any way.
