"Lives That Make A Difference"
Mark your calendars and circle the date of Saturday, April 30, 2005. Hope Haven and Friendship Ministry will be sponsoring a one day event in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This one day conference has been endorsed by the Christian Council on Persons with Disabilities as a regional event for those in Disability Ministry.
The keynote speaker is Judy Siegle, who will challenge us to live lives that make a difference. From her wheelchair Judy has made a difference in the lives of many people. As a believer in Jesus Christ, she talks of her faith as an athlete as well as an encourager to those facing the challenge of disability.
Along with Judy's challenging words to make a difference in someone else's life, there will be workshops for those involved in Friendship Ministry, Church Ministry, families with a disabled member, or those seeking out information on certain disabling conditions.
This one day event will take place at the Celebrate Community Church at 1000 Sycamore St in Southeast Sioux Falls, South Dakota. There will be 18 workshops in three tracks. Nine workshops will be focused on Friendship Ministry topics and nine on general disability topics of interest. The day will start at 9 AM and finish at 3:30 PM. Registration costs are $35.00 per person, $25.00 per person for groups of 5 or more and for students.
