Mark Siemonsma
Director of Development

|
Mark joined the Hope Haven Foundation staff in October of 2004. He has a BA in Journalism from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA, and has completed courses in management from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. Mark has 30 years of experience in wholesale sales and retail management in the automotive industry. Mark's current duties include overseeing special events, donor relations and planned giving.
Mark, who grew up in Sheldon, IA, is married to Sue. She teaches elementary art at an area school. They have two children and one grandson.
Mark and Sue are currently members of Trinity Christian Reformed Church of Rock Valley. Mark and Sue live in Rock Valley and enjoy living and serving in their community. Mark loves to fish, faithfully supports the University of Iowa athletic programs (Go HAWKS!) and enjoys working their horses with his wife. Joining the staff at Hope Haven fulfills a life long ambition to work for and serve the Lord with a Christian organization. msiemons@hopehaven.org

Scott Koedam
Associate Director of Development

Scott joined the Hope Haven Foundation Staff in July 2007. Scott's current duties include overseeing annual fundraising events, including the annual benefit auction as well as the golfing and fishing benefits. Scott enjoys the challenge of developing new and innovative events to benefit Hope Haven.
Scott was raised on a farm near Rock Valley. After attending Western Christian high school, he joined the US Air Force and served over 21 years on active duty. During this time, he worked in three different specialties including Security Forces, Education and Training and finally as a Chaplain's Assistant. Scott also served in many locations inside the United States as well as Germany, the Netherlands and Spain.
Scott met and married his wife Stephanie while stationed in Mississippi. She is from Belvidere, Illinois and also served in the Air Force. They have one daughter, Chloe, who attends Rock Valley Christian School.
Scott and Stephanie are currently members of 1st Christian Reformed Church of Rock Valley. They live on the family farm Scott grew up on near Rock Valley and enjoy country living. Scott enjoys working with the Foundation Team at Hope Haven and feels it is a call to serve the Lord. skoedam@hopehaven.org

Michelle Kuiken

Michelle began working for the Hope Haven Support Foundation in October 2007. She grew up in Phoenix, AZ and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology, with a minor in Spanish from Grand Canyon University. She moved to Northwest Iowa in August of 2007 and was married in July of 2008.
Michelle's main responsibilities are assisting with fundraising events, creative grant writing, and overseeing the website. She testifies to God’s unconditional grace in her life, and lives by the verse: “The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I will hope in him.” (Lam 3:24) mkuiken@hopehaven.org

Paul Moos
Planned Giving

Paul began his duties as the Director of Planned Giving on August 1, 2005. Prior to this time, Paul served as the Director of Development for Hope Haven's Foundation, a position which he held since 1990. He has a BA in Education from Dordt College in Sioux Center, IA and a MA from South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD in Administration and Counseling. He has been a teacher, a partner in a computer software firm, and served as a manager of rehabilitation in Hope Haven's adult work program earlier in his work career. He continues to have various business interests.
Paul was raised on a farm in North Dakota. After high school, he joined the US Navy and served three years at the US Naval Academy Legal Office in Annapolis, Maryland.
Paul is married to Kathy, a sixth grade math teacher. They have two children, Steve and Andrea, and three grandchildren-Alex, Hunter and Sylvia. They are members of Trinity Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley, IA, where they have been very active in its leadership, education, and outreach programs. pmoos@hopehaven.org
